You tube please take note that we the normally silent majority declare that if we were given the choice we would vote to leave you tube the way it was, We know that you have plans to erase the small hobbier, the you tube video uploader,that as been the basis of your phenominal success too date & we realise that soon you will not need any of us, as you follow your business plan of a super internet TV channel to rival many that are currently available on satelite. "NOW would it be too much to ask" IFyou could leave the successful tenplate that we currently have, which has a proven running track record with loyal participants, uploaders and viewers. What we DO like about our YouTube is that it is nothing like a TV channel, frankly WE think you are committing Hari Kari, if you upset enough people & you seem to be hell bent & dead set on doing just that, you are going to be abandoned by your loyal fans as people turn away from you, There is sufficient proof of the strong ground swell of immense dissatisfaction, i have lost count of the number of channels that have promisewd to close thir accounts and take their loyalty elsewhere just like they did when the masses migrated from myspace. Why not start a totally new channel that could run along tside you tube, call it YOUTWO which would appear on all home pages with a one click connection from you tube,directly to YOUTWO it would show good wil on your partl, and people might just forgive you for your greed and lack of sensitivity which is the attitude that you currently are displaying,.....

I do not like the new Youtube channel layout because it limits our creativity and personal expression and it will substantially reduce the social interactions we've come to enjoy here!
Youtube is losing the good things and the good will that have made it so special. All the fun, creativity, random-ness and free thought are being taken away. by the thought Police
Soon the spirit will be gone lost forever and Youtube will be nothing but a hollow heartless shell - just another website that looks like Facebook. So sad.

In a few months our channel pages will be gone, there will be no more social interaction if we don't stop YouTube.?
The black out date for YouTube is every Sunday where YOU are, what ever your time zone!

I agree with Boycotting but not a Sunday because most people are only on through the week so don't come on at the weekend anyway :) If I wasgoing to boycott something I would do it Monday or Tuesday or both, Sunday will not have an impact because people watch the vids from work and most don't work Sunday

@SGR1000 You might be relieved too learn there is a huge group of people who are currently applying their Boycotts on Thursdays & Fridays, they tend to be Spanish & South American latino channels, as they hardly ever come on line at weekends, something to do with shopping & Church Mass, therefore they have united on Thurs & Fri, so you would not be alone,they too are a huge group, in fact there are protests ON going 4 days a week, & it is growing in popularity, the choice is yours, just be there

YouTube(Google) Would be wise to cancel this outrageous new design BS, for it will cause the number of users to drop big time which means there are fewer people to see the advertisements which is what enables YT to pay for itself...Google is probably doing this because of complaints that children are being exposed to "adult content" on YT, my opinion is that parents who demand the internet to do their parenting for them are lousy parents who shouldn't have children to begin with!

Good video/message! Its not the date that counts, you can also protest by putting vids like these up, or putting comments on pages etc. My channel isnt watched that much..it doesnt matter if people like me blackout, only if millions do I guess..and thats hard because even I want to show my vids..not put them on lock..its pride thats killing us hehe. The main idea is, no surrender, let them know this change/layout is not what we want as mayority. Diversity, eqaulity, creativity,solidarity!

I couldn't agree more with this video...and that is why I haven't been on YT since Christmas. At one point I thought of closing my account. I don't know what to say...I'm just a small fish. I love the way this video is created, but I have to say; that you, me, and I'm sure, perhaps thousands, even millions of others know that we will have to surrender to the foe. Well done David.
