  • I don't want to be negative but I think it important that folks realize this is a group that does accept the authority of any Pope since the Second Vatican Council. They are in actuality outside of the Church.

  • @salmcdeck funny you should say that - not sure were you read or heard this but we actually do accept the authority of our Holy Father Benedict XVI and we are recognized by our local ordinary Bishop Robert McManus of Worcester MA. If you don't mind sharing with us were this misinformation comes from that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for watching and God bless you.

  • I don't like the name of this religious community I must admit. Mary is definitely the Mother of God who intercedes for us but we are not to be slaves of Mary but of Jesus. Mary points us to Christ, her Son.

  • @fkanga By being Slaves of Mary we are following completely the example of Jesus Christ, who was subject to her. St. Louis de Montfort in his book "True Devotion to Mary" explains this voluntary slavery and how it is a contrast and remedy to the slavery of so many people to the things of this world .......... video games, drugs, alcohol, work, sports, pornography, anything that keeps us from belonging totally to Christ!

  • @StBenedictCenter Hello, Sister. You mentioned addictions: "video games, drugs, alcohol, work, sports, pornography." Drugs and porn are serious ones, and I can understand how the others can be addictive or problematic if used irresponsibly or given too much importance, but the way they were listed looks like it may imply that you are equating drugs to sports, for instance, or porn to video games. Was that intentional or is this simply a list of things that people are known to find addictive?

  • @pflubber Thank you so much for watching. It was meant to be just a list of things that one can be addicted to, that can separate us from the Love of God.

  • @StBenedictCenter thank you for your prompt response, Sister. May God bless you in all you do.

  • Wonderful! Thank you!!! As a discerning young woman - its great to hear this from a sister. Its a message that I've been trying to share with others on my channel - which is entirely Catholic- G-d Bless!

  • @StBenedictCenter I believe he had you confused with another community.

  • Surely Nuns could do more in the community. I'm sure a lot of them are unsung heroines but we never get to read about it in the newspapers. Those red-top tabloids are, of course, aimed at people of very, very low intelligence and all they want to read is rubbish about someone's private life. They have no interest in anything that might challenge them intellectually. So, Nuns, carry on your good work. And why hide behind plain clothes? Let them see who you really are. You have nothing to hide.

  • I must apologize if I was in error as that is a pretty serious charge. I received some information at a march for life several years ago and did some research and at that time that was the information I gleened. If that has never been the case again, I do humbly apologize.
