I was lucky enough to go to high school with Leroi. The two things I would say about him are that he was a nice guy (way before he was successful and famous) and that music was his passion (way before he was successful and famous). Back when I had a TV, I was watching late one evening on the east coast and there was a "breaking news" report that came on - Leroi had passed away - so surreal. He was a great man & we can rest assured that many of his dreams came true prior to his passing. Love!

Dearest TannerDMB41 - I just found this moving, lovely, LeRoi tribute clip. You did an excellent job. It's been two years, and it still feels like yesterday when I found out the news. It was like being in a car crash- I knew that it was real, and yet the full impact didn't hit me at once, until I saw the band's pics for their 2009 tour without Roi. And I couldn't listen to them for a time, because I couldn't imagine them without him. They're soldiering on, thankfully, but never to be the same.

This is it--2 years ago today...........2 years ago today................it was 2 years ago today. Sorry, but my mind seems unwilling to accept this fact. Cannot believe Leroi has been gone from us for 2 years now. Everyone please take some time out to reflect and remember Leroi's music and legacy............I know it's what Leroi (and the DMB) would want. R.I.P., the most badass sax player ever....................
