On October 4, 2008, the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club sponsored an event with Washington States DSHS to encourage prospective adoptive parents to select hard-to-place foster children who were taken away from abusive parents. Normally these children are hard to place because most potential parents are scared away by reading the children's history. This event was devised to expose the children to potential parents before the parents would learn of the child's history. In this trial program, the success rate was phenomenal as the video explains.
