I visited Chaco Canyon this past fall and was talking with a ranger there, and he said when this solstice dance happens you can hear it echo throughout the whole canyon. He said it's pretty magical to hear it...I believe him.

@saksikafa It's the buffalo dance. It's basically to honor the buffalo for what its done. now the ZUNI inparticular, im not sure for their reason. but in my tribe, they dress like this to sorta play the role of the animal, if that makes sense.

can someone tell me why do they dress up like this? is this also a shamanism and some kinda ritual? and what is the purpose of this dance?... i really wanna learn about it.. tnks
