Special Deeds for the month of Thul Hijjah

There are five special deeds in the month of Hajj.

1- Hajj
2- Thikr (takbeer loudly)
3- Fasting Arafah
4- Qurban
5- Eid Al-Adha + Days of Tashreeq

وقد كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يصوم تسع ذي الحجة . فعن هنيدة بن خالد عن امرأته عن بعض أزواج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قالت : كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يصوم تسع ذي الحجة ويوم عاشوراء وثلاثة أيام من كل شهر . أول اثنين من الشهر وخميسين " أخرجه النسائي 4/205 وأبو داود وصححه الألباني في صحيح أبي داود 2/462 .

Abû Hafsah, may Allâh be pleased with him, reported that the Prophet, upon whom be peace, said:

Fasting on the day of Arafah absolves the sins for two years: the previous year and the coming year, and fasting on ashûra, (the tenth day of Muharram) atones for the sins of previous years. [Reported by all except al-Bukhârî and Tirmidhî]

As for those who are performing Hajj, then they should follow the prophet (SAW) in NOT fasting that day.

According to Umm al-Fadl, may Allâh be pleased with her, she said:

The companions doubted whether the Prophet was fasting on Arafah or not. She decided to prove to them that he was not, so she said, I sent to him milk, which he drank while he was delivering the khutbah (sermon) on Arafah. [Recorded by al-Bukhârî]

The scholar reconciled between Hadith Aisha (RA) that said the prophet (SAW) never fasted in the ten days, with other narrations that said he did fast, by giving precedence to the narrations that provided extra details (showing he fast) over the narration that denied fasting based on the best of her knowledge.

No days r better 4 good deeds than the 10 of zulhega month ,no deeds r better on this feast than sacrificing an animal as the blood lies in a place with allah before its lying on earth and the sacrificed animal defends u on judgement day and those who can afford 2 sacrifice but dont do should die nonmuslim,,if u slaughter,do it well (without torture),Fasting Arafat Day covers sins of past and next year as in hadiths
