  • Thank you Kevin for posting this video. Your analogies are always great!! Around 6:50 you start talking about Bc and the fact that it is 8000 bps. You didn't really mean bps right? Just 8000 bits sent at line rate or maybe even 8000 bits per 62.5 ms?

  • @ryandnewell Ahhh yes. Great catch! Bc is a number of bits (for shaping) or the number of bytes (for policing) sent during a timing interval.

  • @dyhs2006 Great analogy! I had never considered that, but you are correct, that, like time division multiplexing, the transmission occurs at set intervals.
