  • 3:32 and 3:39 - So simple, yet so hard. I feel like you're shaking me here. lol

  • @tytheeman20 If it seems that I am talking to you then I probably am ha

  • I wish I had you in my corner.

  • @miclo22 I am in your corner. (It is an internet based on though)

  • Just to put it out there, I don't think Jacob means to come out if you think your life is in danger. Obviously, like me, he is from North America and we can a lot of freedom here to be out and live a proud life. That being said, even to some of you in the US, if you do fear you'll be hurt or seriously victimized for coming out, don't. Wait it out. It gets better once you are older even if you have to stay in the closest. We'll support you online if you need an outlet until then.

  • @lilfelber Exactly. I want people to wait until they are ready but the people who this is directed at are young adults who are independent from their families and still avoid coming out. This video was trying to give courage to those who aren't living life to its full potential because of their fear. I understand waiting. I waited til I was 20. But waiting until your late 20s is denying yourself so many opportunities and experiences. I made this video to try and encourage, not endanger.

  • @rlm1942 I spoke with pastors with all differing opinions on the verses in the Bible that seem to mention homosexuality. Spoke with ancient Greek and ancient Latin professors who both say that the Bible is mistranslated to a certain degree and the context for the message isn't being considered appropriately. I am not trying to change people's beliefs. I am trying to get them to explore them and make sure that they aren't blindly accepting things without knowing the truth. You CAN be gay.

  • It's safer in the closet. We got cookies in here :D. But seriously though, its not as simple as you know 'hey I'm gay.' Until we reach to a point where you don't have to come out as gay (i.e its regarded as normal) coming out wont solve anything. It gets easier in some cases. It doesn't stop the bullying etc but it bothers you less. Coming out is about someones maturity and their ability to stand on their own 2 feet. I may seem pessimistic but reality often sux. The world be hating!

  • I came out at 31, it went bad, I just wish I had came out at 10 when I knew.

  • Woooow I've only seen two of your videos, the first one when you said ''I compromise to tell at least two people, that's HUGE!'' and I thought that was actually too easy, and now you're completely out the closet! Congrats man.

  • Two months post 'coming out' = Awesomnesssss! hahah

  • @roadtou hey man I came from a religion that does not accept gay people and that being gay is the worst thing in the world. I'm here to tell you it aint. Message me if you want more info but your not going to go to hell because your gay. Second, I have tried the whole I can change path before and it doesn't work. I am sorry about your father being abusive but just remember that you are who you are and you are not your father. I am in the middle of coming out and I feel so much better.

  • @Jacobjustification Nice to know you're there ... even if its technically through technology

  • @jacobyoutubification LOL Keep the vids coming, and keep us updated!

  • When you're ready is the key. I came out after I retired from the U.S. Navy (DADT had not yet been rescinded). It is nice not having part of my life locked away all the time. Is it all that I am? Of course not. But it is a part of my nature, and not having part of myself caged really is very freeing. Have a good group of true friends who will support you emotionally if some people who you thought were friends (or family) turn out not to be. Some people might surprise you though.
