@BarkingBobby WHAT ABOUT NEW YORK CITY!?.

Some good points intelligently put, but the police brutality argument was a strange one. In Rio, the police kill over 100 times more people every year in shootings etc. than in Chicago.
On top of that the Brazilian metropolis (top 5 murder capital of the world) has only two million people more than Chicago yet around 7 times as many murders. The 2016 olympics could be a major problem with it not being held in a safe city like Chicago.
Arpart from that I thought the speaker was very good.

We feel a little safer!. Thanks Zirin

thank you nightfrog! Poor Chatham has been deluged by lower income residents and the games would have cemented us into a continual struggle or public housing-exposed residents and a long-standing middle-class Black neighborhood, trying to retain businesses and real estate values. It's Dodge city over here as it is!

Chicago is out? Lmaoo CNN.

Brazil deserves to host the Olympics. They invested alot of money to go green and use alternative resources. They set the example of what should be.

Obama, Daley, their political cronies, and real estate speculators lost this one.
How many low-income residents would have been displaced by the 2016 olympics? I'm willing to bet that they wouldn't tear down homes in upper-middle class neighborhoods.
Chicago is facing a deficit, and can't afford to raise taxes to fund this endeavor.

I predict that if Chicago gets the Olympics. Homeless people in selected parts of the city. They will be rounded up and placed somewhere else. Until, the games are over with. If there is a lawsuit, what would Mayor Daley care? the taxpayers picks up the tab.
