The Honda Monkey Generation

This video shows many models of the Honda Monkey Generation. First to start off with the Honda CZ100, the tiniest yet the most famous. The Honda Z50M famous for its painting, as well as the Z50A, which was produced very often. The Honda J1 was the first Monkeybike to be produced with full suspension. The Honda JZ is still being produced and appears in various colours and gives you yet the most comfortable driving experience due to its comfortable seat and the full suspension as well as the long frame and the bigger wheels.

looks like i stopped on the page of a pro. I picked up a "modified" monkey bike. The previous owner bent the back frame on the bike down and welded a plate to get a briggs and straton motor on it. It has a torque convertor on it, but how can i get the most power out of a 5 hp b&S motor on this bike? Real men ride monkey bikes.

What type of Monkey is it?The best enginse you can use are the original Honda engines equipped with 72cc , as they used it in the Honda Dax ST70, 6V, 12V, it can be CDI engines or AB02E engines, they run smoothly are powerful, silent and they will always be running. Try using the 4 gears with clutch. Try to use a bigger carburator, if you use a bigger engine than 72cc than always build a manual clutch, which you will need dueto piston jamming. I can tell you. I have been riding Honda Monkey for quite long. The best in comfort is the Honda DAX. Yet this one is not a Monkeybike. The Z50 JZ equals the J1 in comfort. The most uncomfortable is the CZ100, yet it is the most fun to ride as you think you are flying over the ground. Its riding is unforgettable at about 30 or 40 miles. The Z50M is difficult cause of its tiny weels, as they are menat to balance the bike, you are only supposed to put 1,5 bar onto them.

I am a collector of Honda monkeybikes. I assume to collect Honda CZ100, Z50 M especially, old Z50 A japanese types, I own a french Dax ST 70 for riding comfortable. It is a Honda Dax with an improved shock system Honda has never built again in Honda monkeys and DAX.

So it's just an z50j origanal monkey with some z50m parts? (what is a z50j Z???)

seat could be original but the cover is not original, I'm 100% sure about.

At this moment you can only buy the original black seats for about 500EURO.

Somethimes you find in Japan some original seats (tartan) prices from about 1000EURO and more.

Its the normal Z50 J. I equipped it with Z50 M parts. The seat is the black one from Honda and I manufactur the seat covers myself, it is not a Honda part. This seat is 15 years old. Right now I produce much better ones, they look perfect real. I just made a very short video and took the first bike in hall.

My dad had a CZ100 for years, I used to ride it too. GTT 11D He sold it around 1992 (bet its still about somewhere!)

i bthink i have a j1, but i dont know... its an 86 model, it looks about like it, its all chrome, it has "special" on top of the tank, and it has a red white and blue wing on the tank sides
