A test of time manipulation and basic effect to produce horror movie effects. This is one of a few tests, this one focuses on the jittery motion of contemporary ghosts.

  • In a production environment (rather than draft as it was) I would clean up the edit clipping (sudden minor changes in contrast between effect shots and normal footage.) as well as adding appropriate SFX/Foley to make it creepy.

  • Record as normal. Move really slowly. as if walking in slow motion. Then speed film up to look as normal speed. This will make the movement look unnatural (slightly creepy). For the twitchy moments, just start flailing around, but be aware of the exact position you want to be in when you finish, and freeze right there. Then continue in slow motion. When you speed up the film it will look better

You may need to slice and play with the motion blending of the twitch moments

    Hope it helps.

  • Thats cool , can you give me some techniques on doing it?

  • hmm i like the effects. Partnered with suspenseful sound effects these could be very spooky.
