Hi I am a free member of webs.com. I think it's a free hosting site? Can I upload web pages to my site using this one? What do I need in order to successfully upload a web page on my site? I tried following this step by step but I receive error that says connection timed out and could not connect to server. Please help me on this one.

Its is either that th ftp server name is incorrect or that the host doesn't support ftp access. Check the free hosting details to make sure it does.

Usually that means you have the ftp server name entered incorrectly and it can't find it.

Yeah, I didnt know how to do any of this for a week until finally contacted my hosting provider.

And yes, most hosts require that you name your html's as "index". I'm glad you resolved your problem, and, umm, have a nice day!
