(HD) 6024+70013 Take On The Devonian, 22/10/11

6024 'King Edward I' + 70013 'Oliver Cromwell' Take on the Devonian, Poole - Plymouth, steam hauled from Bristol Temple Meads

I ventured out too my local spot for the outward journey! a good decision except from the amount of kettle veg were there! and usual talking through people's video's!

For the return journey we went too Dawlish Warren, not the best performance but we were abit low on locations too choose from due too train times!

Just to qualify my previous comment, kettle veg are in the minority, thankfully - nearly all of the folks Ive met on spotting trips, young and old, have been thoroughly pleasant people. I still remember bumping into an ex-driver of Clan Line down at Swanley once, had a nice chat with him about them :)

Nice description of 'kettle veg', I like that term. I know the kind you mean, the old biddies blinded by nostalgia, and whom seem to sneer at anyone daring to be interested in kettles despite not having been born until after they were gone. I had that once shooting 44932, bumped into a few guys who were quite condescending and seemed to look down their noses at me, which annoyed me.
