Sparky was a genius who was SO Ahead Of The Curve. He was (and still is) one of my idols, ispirations, & major influences....And it's so bloody hard to believe that he's been gone for over a decade now....Jolly good that his strip is still reprinted in the dailies; I doubt if the fans (me included) would have it any other way....

"Charlie Brown" WAS Charles Schulz- as he later said, "If you read my strip often enough, you get to know me". Like him, both had fathers who were barbers, both had rough childhoods (including unrequited love for "the little red-haired girl")...and both were loners. No wonder "Charlie" often moaned, "I can't stand it....I just can't stand it."
