World's Greatest Unknown Guitar Player Part 3 !!!

All right people, he is back on this HOT arrangement! John won 1st place in the Guitar Center's King of the Blues Contest held in the McAllen store back in March 2007. He placed 1st out of 30 contestants. This is the awarded arrangement played to a background track provided by the sponsers at the Guitar Center. The track title is TEXAS BLUES on which John arranged this lead. John went on to the district competition in Houston texas on April 18th and received the only standing ovation and was by far the best guitar player there. The crowd was stunned at the result when he received 2nd instead of first. The Judges told him that he was the best there and knew his axe better than anyone else, but did not play enough blues on this track. Since this was a King of the Blues contest, the judges gave it to someone else. I Tony Reyes was there and can tell you that the crowd was shocked. The MC told him in the future to enter a different style contest. I personally feel that this was an injustice because Pete Anderson on his YOUTUBE video clearly stated that he was trying to get the blues out of it's traditional sound and feel. The proof of that is that he created these more aggressive background tracks this year. In my opinion and I'm sure most of the other people that were there would agree with this statement, the judges really blew it! No one was even close. For those of you that wanted more aggression well, here he is shifting in to another gear. Also for those who missed the contest, here he is playing it for YOUTUBE. To all who know and have heard of John Champion, this is just to let you know that he is alive and well. In my opinion John is one of the best musical treasures yet to be discovered. I don't know how many times I've watched this guys videos, but I can't get enough of him.. MAAAAaaan does this guy make his axe sing.. makes the notes sound like they're taking flight.. so tasteful.. THIS is a guitarist!

I'd love to know what equipment he uses, THAT'S the sound i've been trying to get and i just can't figure it out without going digital or what ever..
