Flooding evacuations in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Evacuations continued in the Czech Village and Time Check neighborhoods in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, as flood waters from the nearby Cedar River continue to rise, threatening even more homes and businesses in the area. Police were going door-to-door, handing out flyers warning residents of the need to evacuate their homes. GazetteOnline video by Jeff Raasch.

It took a hundred years to build this neighborhood and the city council bullied us into a 'voluntary buyout' for a posh riverfront planned before the flood. People's homes will be demolished next week and they haven't received a dime! While the homes sat the city hired some companies who spray painted bright orange letters on the homes and peeled the siding off of some of them!

One man in this video was even committed by the city! We need help!

@RacingRoy FEMA learned a lot from Katrina it's the local government and them using the United States Army Corps of Engineers as their excuse for a posh riverfront project they had planned before the flood!

There are people still waiting on FEMA for their money. The city has bought out some of the homes and people still have not gotten their checks.

I heard 130,000 people in IOWA were without homes. You know what you are not seeing? Rioting, Murder, Rape, and Looting. Cuz people in IOWA are not nigger animals like the shit skin monkeys in New Orleans! They are humans and show it. People in Iowa aren't burdens on our taxes like niggers. They handle this tragedy like normal people.
