WWOR-TV was owned at the time by MCA/Universal, NBC was sold at the time by GE after RCA ended its partnership. 15 years later, NBC was purchased by Universal Studios and it spun off where it becomes NBC/Universal in 2004.
Parent company GE is a slimeball biz that does NOT pay any US taxes. They are incorporated off-shore. True.
