Barmsley singer songwriters Mel Plant(original)This is a very personal song to me. It was written and recorded just after the 1984 miners strike in the UK.
I worked in the industry for 14 years and one of those was spent on strike fighting to save our jobs. I'll never forget spending a year on strike, as this was probably the hardest time of my life. Some of the photos are of where I grew up and worked, and also theres some old work mates of mine.
