Ok, sorry that I got my own car confused, you know better. The Rabbit engine sits transverse which means side to side, where the Fox has a longitudinal setup as you see in the video.

@eilif9 I wish they would've had a transverse mounted engine. Then that would open up many options for transmissions that I could've used. The turbo was a cheap K27 which came off of a Porsche 911 Rally car and turned out to be a torque monster.

@eilif9 That is how the longitudinal VWs and FWD Audis were designed. Also, many other cars such as Dodge Intrepid, etc had a longitudinal mounted engine and were front wheel drive.
