It has always been known as the Alexandrov (Red,Soviet,Russian) Choir/Ensemble, but worldwide people still recognize it by its former name, the Red Army Choir. The shortenend name for it is along the lines of Alexandrov Russian Army Ensemble just as 20 years ago it was the Alexandrov Soviet Army Ensemble. No reason to get heated over it ANY of you lol.

@immortalx50 That, and the communists would never have set foot in the vatican, being all secularist to the point of being totally anti-religion and such...
-
@washingtonboy09 no man you're incorrect, its the alexandrov ensamble now, not the red army choir.
-
LONG LIVE MOTHER RUSSIA , but for Your own money.....
-
@akschrott Actually you are wrong. There is a Red Army Choir that exists today even after the fall of the USSR.
Do not go around calling people ignorant when you are the ignorant one.
-
@akschrott You beat to it! I was about to tell him the same thing. There hasn't been a red army since 1991.

The guy who's playing kinda looks like George Bush ...

LONG LIVE MOTHER RUSSIA!!GRETHINGS FROM SERBIA!!!

@ramsesine Really'! The Alexandrov Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army. Currently there is neither the USSR nor the Red Army.
1. This is NOT the Red Army Choir. There is no such thing as a Red Army or, to be more precise, Soviet Army since the dissolution of the USSR.
2. "lot of their songs are soviet communist songs."
I'd like you to prove your assertion by naming at least ten songs out of their repertoire which make explicit reference to communism. I bet, you won't get far beyond naming the anthem of the USSR.
3. Therefore, it is better to keep quiet instead of exposing one's ignorance so open-heartedly.
