DC Universe Online Beta - Staff Style Demo

0:02 Starts with the basic short range attack(ap right mouse button)

0:10 Focused Spin - This deflects ranged attacks while you're spinning, then fires a strong block breaking ranged attack, it can hit air targets(Hold right mouse button)

0:21 Sweeping Slice is your charge ability, if you are close enough to target your enemy, you can leap directly to them, this can be used at any range.

0:23 Martial Flowers - multi hit attack that stuns(tap left mouse, hold left mouse - or - hold left mouse after preforming Sweeping Slice)

0:24 This is the start of the Leaping Overhead Strike combo, multiple hits, multiple stuns, ending with the leap attack(Hold left mouse x4 after either preforming Sweeping Slice, or tapping the right mouse button once)

0:42 Pressing Strike Roundhouse Combo - this is your normal melee attack combo done by pressing the right mouse button four times - its the kick at the end. This can be done from many other combos as long as your last right mouse press is a tap. It has a chance to launch your target into the air, from there you can tap the right mouse button to juggle your enemy in the air.

1:02 Downward Smash Combo - this is a knockdown, and interupt(Tap right mouse 3 times, hold right to do the backflip smash, then tap right again for the leap attack.

Each of the staff finisher combos are vulnerable to blocking, some stun, but most at least will cause an interrupt. The color and graphic of your attacks depend on your power set, as this character is fire, Focused Spin produces a fireball.

ok i doubt ill get a response but with dc universe going free to play in a few days i wanted to ask something about the powers and weapons. so basically i have my character already planned out but im trying to figure out if the weapon you choose interacts with the power you choose. example: i choose ice power and a staff, would my staff interact with my ice powers. like using ice from the staff?

@zonecore Weapons and Powers are completely independent of eachother, meaning no power does something different if you're using a certain weapon. Each weapon has its own combo style and moves, each power does what it says it does.

@zonecore I really don't understand your question. You use your weapons and powers together, but it doesn't matter what combination you pick. Pick the weapon you like, and the power you like, thats all you have to do. If you haven't played the game yet, its much easier understand doing it yourself.

@katak67 ok what power are you using with your staff? it looks like your shooting fire out of the staff at the enemy. im wondering if i can shoot ice blasts out of the staff

@zonecore Yes. Whatever power or weapon you pick, as you use the power the animation effect comes from the weapon.

Got 2 guys 2 lviv 30 and 1 is with staff which is freaking op and the other is 2 handed or hammer/axe and for me I love hammer cause you can get mega combos if you use it right
