Personally... I'd like more information that you CAN'T get from the can. How long does it take for a tank on one of those little torches to fill completely from empty? Is the video representative of this time, or is it shorter because it's a demonstration? Can you tell the difference between a full tank and letting your fill tank lean a little by accident?
Does the butane disperse quickly, or is there cleanup involved?
What safety and/or cleanup tips do you have in case butane spray?

U r a gr8 help
do all butane torches heat the same way (heat wise) do some get hotter than others?

@trekranger They generally get up into the 2000°F range. Some torches get slightly hotter than others, but the bigger ones put out a more powerful flame, and they hold more fuel. Each manufacturer lists the specs for their particular product.

@artjewelrymag so at what temp does hard solder start to melt?
trekranger 7 months ago
@trekranger It depends on the type of solder you're using. The manufacturer should be able to tell you the temperature at which the solder melts when you buy the product.
