This method does not create a transparent icon. It creates a black icon. I tried it on my 2GMC that I added a wallpaper to with iBackup bot and it showed up black. It's really only for people with iPhone 3G or lower or iPod 2G or lower that are afraid to test the limits of an in jailbroken iDevice. I'm working on contacting them on that one because it doesnt work unless you have just a black screen as your wallpaper. It would be only 1 star review if it had not worked before I unleashed the re

As already said many times, it is not possible to add a fully transparent icon, Safari transforms it into black... Apple does'nt allows to set an icon with transparency in the background... we can't do anything against that... So yes, it is usefull for people having a black background at the location where the icon will be, and that don't want to jailbreak. If you have a jailbroken iDevice, use iBlank !
