@paraglidermx YouTube does no favours for the sound of this amp. I think your opinion would change if you actually hear a Diezel Herbert in person. It is a BEAST! I've had the pleasure of owning my Diezel for nearly 3 years now and i've not heard many amps that come close.

I'm choosing between this amp and possibly and ENGL Invader. Unfortunately, there aren't dealers around where I live to try them out in person, so I have to rely on youtube and other sound clips on other web sites. Now, the Herbert retails for about $1300 more than the ENGL Invader. Both amps sound pretty good to me. Is the Herbert really worth that much more than the ENGL Invader as far as sound? What does it have more than the Engl? Or are they both good for the money? Decisions, Decisions.

I've never played an ENGL Invader, so its hard for me to compare. However, if you did go for a Diezel you won't be dissapointed!

Dude, why do you gotta be such a hater?!! I bet the guy on this video can outplay you ANY DAY. Just because you're playing on your Gorilla amp and PRAYING for that day the music shop will take food stamps so you can get a Behringer V amp doesn't mean you gotta be all jealous of a guy that is serious about guitar and forked out some serious cash for what he cares about. He did a great job on his BFMV video and his tone kicks ass. Now, go pick up your Squire and go back to dreaming. HATER.

splawn is good too but few of my mates built a custom amp which is far better than 5000$ diezel in tonality

nothing compares to a Diezel Herbert that is dialed in correctly with the right tube combination when playing modern-tight-high-gain... don't let these low-quality vids discourage... play this beast in person... best metal amp in the world...

omgosh you are an idiot... I own the Herbert. When you hear this thing in front of you and it is dialed in with the right tube combination, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that compares... NOTHING... These vids do not do this amp any justice... omg... the most amazing amplifier I have EVER heard for tight-modern-high-gain... and the cleans are great also...

play both of them and form your own opinion - don´t rely on youtube soundclips or opinions.

I play a Herbert but still sound is just a matter of taste. Something else might have worked for me as well.

Wait - if you can´t afford the Diezel, don´t try it - it´s addictive :)
