@Jeffredo729: Good call, Jeff. You can't compare a Blu-ray to DVD player. Apples and oranges. However, that being said, I would prefer the Oppo DV-983H! ;)

The BDP-83 didn't exist when this review was made, and you should prefer it being its Blu-Ray and costs over twice as much.
Doesn't detract from this damn fine DVD player (which I own).
