Perennial Tree Kale Growing in Northern California. The mother plants he planted... Propogated by cuttings only. If you have seeds, its probably not tree kale. Plants are from http://oaec.org. Not the same as tuscan kale or walking stick kale based on my experiments.

  • Yea, I am still living with my parents right now but I am saving up to move onto a nice sunny lot. but yea my fiance blames you for my dream of having many raised beds and I now have 2 whiskey barrels. One has around 12 lemon cucumber plants that I just started and the other has 2 tomato plants. I have a few strawberry plants, about 10 jalepeno plants, 20 radishes and 30 spinach plants going in various different pots and planters. My parents want me out. hahaha

  • awesome! you rock! I want to see a video of your barrels and pots/planters

  • where can i get some tree kale ? i build 10 beds and my hubby says its all ur fault lol

  • it can be hard to find. do an internet search to find a place that sells them mail order. You need to buy the plant starts, as they do not sell seeds, as I have never seen my plants go to seed. If they selling seeds, its not the same "tree kale" but a relative.

  • I'm looking for a source as well. The link provided did not lead me to tree kale!

  • These are tree collards, not kale.

  • i have 2 kale trees now and i am eating from them for the first time! thanks for showing them that you have this is how i got the idea to try them. i make kale chips and today i going to cook some!

  • woohoo i have 3 seeds started i hope it grows for me

  • i just ordered tree kale seeds i should get them in 7 days is it to late in memphis to plant do you think there is going to be 45 seeds so do u think i should plant just a few this year and more next year?

  • if you train them to grow up, do you then keep them trimmed within reach?

the way your backyard plant has grown i've seen people actually train fruit trees and roses

to grow horizontal so they remain in reach.

  • i wonder if you can cut the young skinny stocks and make cuttings from then. and maybe you could send me some cuttings one day when you have time..i know i am kindna gettting ahead of my dream here, but trying to find the veggies and minerals on your video is like nobody knows what i am talking about. .i called the quarries on whidbey island, that's where i live, and feed stores and nurseries. they don't know what i am talking about. so i started pounding lava rocks to rminerlize my garden beds

  • How can I find..Tree Kale to plant in my area..in WVA ?
