This video takes place in the Bob Marshall Wilderness backcountry on the South Fork of the Flathead River. A crew of friends and I pack in approximately 22 miles on horseback and get dropped of literally in the middle of the wild wilderness. We spend the week camping and floating the river out. Horses, camping, hunting, camaraderie, river rafting, and some nice Cutthroat fly-fishing. Nice underwater shots of the fish. A great adventure all around.
Oh man, what a hell of a trip! Did you guys go it alone, or did you have a guide?

@kommon12Cents Thanks for the comment. We had an outfitter drop us off and pick us up at a predetermined take out location but the actual trip was all done on our own. However, if you're not familiar with the river or area I would recommend doing the trip with a guide that knows the river.

Fantastic video! Planning my annual pilgrimage to MT and wanted to check out some waterproof HD cameras before I go. Would you mind telling me which one you used? Thanks -JR

Thanks JR for the comment. The underwater shots in this video were shot using a Sony SR10 in a Sony underwater case. The camera is a great little handheld HD camera for doing things like this. Easy to pack to the back country. Another camera I have had great luck with is the GoPro Helmet Camera which also comes with an underwater case . Enjoy your trip to Montana! Let me know if you have further questions. THANKS!
