there is another very common mistake with gear meshing that you could point out here.

main gears are not always absolutely round, so one could have a proper slack space for almost 360 degrees and an awful binding at some points of the turn.

this will cause not only motor bearing failure, but also vibrations during flight and probably failures to main shaft bearings or one-way bearings.

so, checking for proper slack between the gears should be done for every tooth around the full turn.
