Zelda Ocarina of Time - Gohma - No damage

Gohma beaten without taking damage. Played in real time on Mupen64 0.5 re-recording v2.

I intentionally let the fight go for three rounds in order to show everything that can happen but it can be done in two or even a single round using the methods explained below.

Like all of OoT's bosses, Gohma has to be stunned before you can damage it with your sword and there are two ways to do so. The first is to wait until its eye turns red and then shoot it with the slingshot, which will stun Gohma for about five seconds. The second is to simply throw a Deku Nut at its feet, which will stun it regardless of its eye color but only for about two seconds. If you time your sword swings just right, however, hitting Gohma again as soon as its temporary invulnerability wears off after each hit, you can prolong the stun time and even kill Gohma without ever letting it recover.

There's also a speed kill trick you can use to kill Gohma in one round. After stunning it with the slingshot, pull out a Deku Stick and hit Gohma with a jump attack using the stick. Then hold in R to crouch and push the sword button to perform a crouch stab. There's a glitch with the crouch stab that makes it cause the last damage value that you inflicted, which in this case is the jump attack with the Deku Stick. Using this method, Gohma will die in mere seconds after only two crouch stabs.

If you do let Gohma recover from being stunned, it will climb up onto the ceiling and drop eggs down into the center of the room. In that case, keep Gohma targeted and watch for its eye to turn red just before drops its eggs, then shoot it down and attack it with your sword. But if you miss the chance you should attack the eggs before they hatch into Gohma larvae, either with your sword or the slingshot, while they only take one hit to destroy. Shortly after dropping eggs Gohma will fall back to the floor and resume its attacks.

It took me, my best friend, and my sister about 2 WEEKS to beat her. It took about a week to get through the tree, and when we got to her room, we just sat there, because we thought that that was where you became an adult. well, when we finally found out how to battle her, it took us another week to actually kill her, if not longer.
