  • Thank you Rob and TJR , great set as always. I just wanted to give a little more interest as to Starship. Back in the late 70's I won Starship's Gold album off radio station WBCN in Boston. It was a greatest hits from the album's Dragon Fly , Red Octopus , Earth , and Spitfire. Gold has hits like Ride the Tiger ,Count on Me , With Your Love, Runaway, Miracles, and an obscure song that never received much air play called "Fast Buck Freddie". If anyone likes Starship, also check out "Gold. Thanks !

  • @jrushmen thanks for your comment and for sharing your memories. :). TJ

  • great stuff! Just bought Zz top´s album based on this...

    Keep ´m coming.

  • @chinawhitenl Thanks. Enjoy the Top :)

  • Great episode! I have Jefferson Starship - Freedom at Point Zero plus some of the greatest hits CDs that have both tracks you mention. Craig Chaquico simply SHREDS!

I've heard most of ZZ's post 80s work and I would have to agree that they went to their R&B roots and stayed true to their core. Definitely will check out the CDs mentioned.

What's the website for the record label re-releasing? I'd like to check that out as well.

  • @WhoFan I think Robert said it was Friday records - TJ

  • @Traviiismonster Thanks for watching

  • @cumbco Thanks for sharing that with us. You got me curious to hear it too.

  • @SkaterboyRobin Thanks :) - TJR

  • Great show guys, one of my favorites so far! Inspired me to go thru my collection to find my own lost classic, and I came up with Deep Purple's "Who Do We Think We Are"

I find Purple fans sing the praises of "Machine Head" and "In Rock"((and rightly so) but this lost classsic to me has to be on Purples strongest albums. I own the original 1973 green label Warner Brothers Canadian pressing and it sounds better than any cd I've ever heard!!
