I admit I hate some Russians, but not 'cause they are Russians but 'cause they are rude! I live in Lappeenranta and I've got run over by Russians a lot of time, even tho I was walking with green light for walkers... But I also know very nice Russians, I even have Russian friends. It all depends what part of Russia they come from and how they have been raised. Same goes for every country and every people.
Oh, and welcome back to Finland if you are coming back ^_^

@fightingforpride Yes, visa is required. But for Saint-Petersburg citizens it's much easy to get visa.

Nice video , intresting 2 c, how lond dose it take to drive between these 2 places? do you have to pay to cross the border? and is that area of finland good for winter sports/camping ect?

It took 8 hours from place to place by a car. But 4 hours of which is for waiting at the border-line.
No payments required except "green-card" as car insurance issue.

Have you noticed how everything changes when you gross the border: Everything is mutch cleaner, buildings are in better shape, the roads are better.
In Russia there is corruption, Russian Mafia, Prostituiton, poluted nature. You have some diseases we have wiped out in Finland decades ago!
In Finland we gave a saying: " All the bad things come from east". It is damn true!

There is no russian mafia - this is urban legend.
Russia prostitution is not bigger than finnish prostitution :-)
Russian desease not bigger than in another country in Europe - this is urban legent too. Much over, I sure, this is just black propaganda.
