The bit where Ernie pretends that he took Bert's idea to make a peanut butter sandwich reminds me of Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King where Timon always takes Pumbaa's ideas.

Wow....that ended well! Usually Bert's good intentions to make a situation better backfired. At least Cookie Monster didn't come in with the milk at the end and eat the bread, drink the milk and inhale the peanut butter lol.

Like the ice cream soda sketch where Ernie keeps adding stuff to Bert's unflavored soda water until he has a strawberry ice cream soda which Bert hates, so Ernie drinks it & then just gives Bert another glass of soda water?
