Anamica Goel the founder of KALA VATIKA DANCE STUDIO a resident of C-317,Sushant lok-1 )epitomizes the elegance & sophistication that are the result of blending modern sensibilities with the ancient ethos of Northern India to create the highly lyrical dance of Kathak. Presently self employed in GURGAON as a CHOREOGRAPHER(Awarded by Chief Minister, Delhi Hon.Shiela Dixit) performs and guides students in various dance competitions and concerts in Kathak Nritya, JAZZ, SALSA, HIPHOP, Folk and Creative dance, received accolades and awards at various forums.
Anamica Goel over a long and distinguished career has developed a highly individual style to enrich the Kathak & Contemporary dance form. Though born in a family of doctors, Anamica was immersed in dance & drama from a very young age. With every opportunity to learn the arts, Anamica trained in Kathak & Bharatnatyam under great Gurus & performed these dance styles to acclaim. She completed her Kathak Visharad under the tutelage of the renowned Guru Lachhoo Maharaj ji.
Anamica's command over the nritta is amendable. Her delicate postures and strong rhythmic footwork combine in an appealing flow of sculpturesque movements. Her subtle abhinaya (the expressional aspect of dance), Stage knowledge and aesthetic sense add to the highly distinctive character of her recitals. Over a professional career spanning Sixteen years, she has proved her mettle with her performances that have been appreciated with national and international awards.
Through teaching, performing and conducting workshops, she has been actively involved in propagating the art of Kathak in Gurgaon and other parts of India. She has trained a number of accomplished students who are performers in their own right. She has worked in D.P.S & Scottish High Intl.School, Gurgaon for 14yrs.as H.O.D (Dance & Drama). During her tenure there she endeavored to bring many prizes and laurels for the schools in various Interschool & International dance Competitions. She seems to have that alchemy which communicates without emphasis or over-played exuberance --- but with total elegance, subtle eye movements and a sinuous grace that seeps through with an alluring softness verging on the sensuous.
She has also directed and choreographed prestigious dance dramas like

Now, after working successfully for 14 yrs, for last four yrs.Ms.Anamica Goel is the Director of KALA VATIKA DANCE STUDIO, to enhance the dancing skills of her students. Since then, the group has been preparing one premiere per year, writing their own scenarios. Her students have won a number of prizes at choreography contests in modern & fusion dancing; combining them into an authentic impression for visual theatre.This is a celebrated name that makes parents feels full of pride for associating their dear children with. The main attractions of the Institute are Classical &Contemporary dances & to enhance Western dance skills, Improvisation, Bodywork, Theatre etc.
She has taught throughout the country as a teacher's trainer and has also had the esteemed privilege to teach workshops at Various Schools of Gurgaon & Delhi. For her, dance is a means for a deep, lasting and meaningful transformation of life, relationships and consciousness. Her teaching approach is holistic & she has distilled a lot of complex skills into a simple, elegant system that allow her disciples to learn to dance beautifully.
