The 808 was ahead of its time. Now people buy maschine. I am looking for a 808 to complement my 505. the 909 looks good but screen can go wrong and half ofthe features can be done in a DAW for less time. 808 is a winner. Want a 808 or a MV 8800

@grooveproject I am curious how it is as far as making your own patches? Sampling time isnt a problem for me ^^ I use cubase as a sequencer/ Sampler.... my hardware is more like a big VST which I can play with in real time :)

in my opinion MC-808 have a better sound quality, and have more patches, more sampling time, etc...
I have both and this is really good piece of gear...
