Kilimanjaro Diary - Rongai Route, pt. 6

3rd Camp, at 3900 meters. That strange sound you hear in the background are huge black and white ravens that are hoping for scraps in that desolate campsite. There's another cave at this camp - there were some cape buffalo bones there, which was surprising at that elevation, but the guides say that even lions and other large game (like elephants) sometimes make their way that high if there is a bad drought down below.
