factor was ramped up exponentially and all the scenes that came off weak in the game grip your soul in the animation. The music is so much more fitting to a story about angels than the game's was and greatly contributes to the emotional value. Events are retconned in a way that make them make more sense and leave less room for plot holes. Sometimes the story can be too dramatic; but overall, I'm loving the anime so much better. We'll see if that holds true when the last season comes out.

I personally am thinking the anime is better than the game. Played the game. Very fun combat and gameplay especially for its time. But most of the characters kinda suck and the plot has holes. Lot of Deus Ex Machina is thrown in without explanation too. However, as I'm watching the anime, I'm stunned how they took every character that annoyed me and made them so wonderful and how they tied them to the main plot so they don't lose their usefulness.
