  • Oh wow thats so nifty! So basically no BIOS times at all? If you had an SSD you could go from off to all the way on and ready to go very quickly.

  • @LoftyCuber It has an SSD ;)

  • I have a brand new Asus EEE PC 1005PE and from bios, boot booster is enabled however it is not working. while booting it says 'boot booster can't work this time'. any idea?

  • @redangel6425 yes, Windows7 is better when dealling with battery

using windows7 you get 10 to 10.5 hours

but with linux only 6 hours ,

i search the net and many people facing this problem

i try many power saving programmes and no change

finally windows7 is better than linux for this net book.

Don't forget eee 1005p have a hyperied engine

and the battery life change according to the type you use

the best choise is auto power saving to get the best performance and best battery life.

  • Hi, i have this netbook with ubuntu lucid os installed.

im only getting 5 to 6 hours batt life in this netbook that hast 48mah 6 cell batteries.

  • @mverboom oh! you must have a very fast boot time then! If my laptop jumped right to windows it would boot 6 seconds faster and boot in under 15 seconds!
