Whenever I hear this song it takes me to a magical moment where I can see that old Mexico that I learned in my history books, I see frida and Diego walking in la alameda and a great catrina whit all it's beauty and magic, whit her beautiful hat and magnificent elegance as she walks love my Mexico and I always will

I'm mexican and most of the mexican musicians are so far away from the roots, denying them, that it's pretty amazing listening to some foreign music doing this.

Esta canción me recuerda al día de muertos , los niños pidiendo calavera y las flores de cempasuchil y por su puesto la historia de la llorona en las calles .

This is like 1991 in Italy, a march going on, proud of their nation. However on the photo the guy is american and still works to believe its European thing because of more of Italian?!?!

one must not keep a regulator on ones mind. people should be free to express their visions as profound as they might need to be, the world has more than one face my man, i'm just being expressive because the land in oaxaca is mostly dry dirt and shrubs, its the music that paints the culture of my people, acid is not connected to my interpretation.

Yess! :) Old Mexico has always been a place/time I'd love to visit. In my younger years, I actually became somewhat enfatuated with its past (and still present, though ambiguous) beauty, class, and culture. <3 Someday
