The Big El Show started in 1975, and has been performed in the United States and Canada. For example, performances have been given in cities and towns in Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Nevada. The producer of the show was Rob Russen, and he's also (copyright) owner of the name "The Big El Show". The show was promoted with descriptions like: "Reflections on a Legend ... A Tribute to Elvis Presley", "Looks and sounds like The King", "12 piece Las Vegas show band". One show usually runned for aprox. 90 minutes. It opened with the theme from the movie "2001 A Space Odyssey", which Elvis Presley also used to open his stage shows. The show production centered on Larry Seth, "Big El," doing his Elvis Presley impersonation and features musicians called the TCB Band. The TCB Band was also the name of Elvis Presley's band, however The Big El Show TCB Band did not consist of musicians from Presley's band. This info is from the website The Big El Show Staring Larry Seth by a good friend Meikel, who provides a wonderful library of Past and Present ETA's.

  • Thanks to you Jimmy and Keikel for help keeping the great music and performances by the Big El Show alive. It is a testiment to the great musicians, production and talents of Larry Seth that The Big El Show endures more than three decades after it's breakup. Thanks to Elvis fans every where. Rob Russen

  • I saw Larry at the Shubert Theater in Philly and in Pottstown Pa and Valley Forge at the Sheraton. Awesome show and excellent performer. I saw Elvis in persona and he brought it all back..He had a back up vocalist who sounded like Lou Rawls. so what happen to Larry, I hope he has done well in his endeavors after bring so much joy to his fans.

  • This song brings back some fine memories. We had a horn section that hailed from N.Y. and some amazing vocalists hired by Larry. Strange thinking back now....how Larry opened for "Rock Stars" who were huge in the early 70's. He opened for quite a few of them in the early 80's when they were still playing places like the Tower Theatre in Philadelphia. We used to play the Fountain Casino and many others that I forget, but they were huge theatre bookings. Ticket selling events in celebrity venues.

  • wow

  • who that tom jones hahahaha
