Defending the Faith Conference 2010 - Be Transformed by the Renewal of Your Mind

Last July 30-Aug 1, we attended the Defending the Faith Conference in the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio having the general theme "The Truth Will Set You Free" and a subtheme taken from Romans 12:2 "Be Transformed by the Renewal of Your Mind". This conference is being hosted by the university side by side with converts and reverts to the Catholic Faith who were former pastors and bible scholars of other denominations, who were strongly anti-Catholics but have converted into Catholicism. The likes of Scott and Kimberly Hahn, Marcus Grodi, Dr. Allan Scherck, Patrick Madrid, Jeff Cavins and others. The Scriptures guided them to come home to the Catholic Church and more pastors are on their journey home to the Church. The conference format was exactly the same as what we had during the CFCFFL National Conference in New Jersey. There were ten main talks, two sets of workshops with 5 topics each and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament/Holy Hour with Fr. Benedict Groeschel. The testimonies were moving conversion stories of pastors, students and the lay. The keynote speaker was Justin Francis Cardinal Rigali who came all the way from Pennsylvania from the Theology of the Body seminar he graced. I believe it was the same seminar attended by Frank and Geri Padilla at that time, if I'm not mistaken.
