This game in my humble opinion has one of the best plots of any video game; a twisting narrative that slowly unraveled, multi-layered characters, and a brilliant conclusion. It was equally funny and scary which is hard for any work to pull off effectively. It also proved that the franchise that had begun as a text based game could survive translation into the real of highly detailed modern adventure.

The game is set in the Great Underground Empire of Zork. Four alchemists, each associated with one of the cardinal elements go missing at the Temple of Agrippa, rumored to be the victims of a mysterious being known only as The Nemesis. The player character sets forth to solve the riddle of their disappearance and in the ruins of the temple discovers restless spirits, portals to once majestic worlds fallen into decay, the lost secrets of eternal life, and the truth behind a centuries old murder.

as a fan of the original text based zork games i LIKED nemisis it took a discworld style humourus series and gave it some substance while retaining the humour in places shame the games changed back with inqrisitor now we have to deal with legends of zork argh
