The collection system stores water in a basement, filters it, pressurizes it and distributes it to the toilets, garden hoses, and clothes washing machine.
The system should save about 5000 gallons per year per person in your household (if you size the collection vessel(s) properly.)
It may sound a little tricky to install, but I have included pictures, basic instructions, and a spreadsheet of all the parts/ tools you will need to take on this project on the blog.

update: regarding the clothes washing machine - Don't use the flexible Y-splitter shown in the video - it sprung a leak, luckily it was in my garage and there is a floor drain. I replaced it with an all brass Y with a shutoff valve prior and have had no issues since.

*Update, I have had to replace the seals on the Pump. I may end up replacing the pump with a higher quality one to avoid problems in the future.

@CraZyReefTaNk951 sometimes places that don't get much rain regularly... get a whole lot at once - larger storage tank(s) are in order for those types of climates, but then space may be an issue.

***** This is what I'm trying to do. Problems I've had are through put during heavy downpours and freezing in the winter. Routing the Pex tubing is nice. Thanks for uploading this very informative.
