This five-or-so minute beginning of a thirty-minute about Shepherdstown in the summer of 1986 begins with shot from space a view of German Street looking west from Princess around 1890, McMurran Hall, the Thomas Shepherd Mill operating, and the last day of Dick Schlack's gas station business.

Thank you for your comments. It was sweet. I remember a big dog lounging in the middle of a town street on the hot black asphalt and a person in a car would wait patiently till the dog got the point and got up and walked away. Also there were NO street signs at all. UPS must have gone crazy. It was assumed everyone knew where everything and everyone was.
