@BOB284 Ouch unfinished sentence sorry. I meant to say the reason it is called England due to the Angles. 'England' means 'land of the Angles', it was probably spelt with an A being Angland originally and then evolved over time, as languages do, to become England.

@BOB284 ok sorry I know you made that comment two years ago but wow I just have to reply. Ango-Saxons are a make up of two germanic tribes, the Angles and the Saxons. They were invited in by the Britons when the Romans left to help fight the Pictish tribes in the north. However they decided not to leave, instead settling in what is modern day England. So yes, the English are much more Germanic than anything else, and it is called England because. The Scots and Welsh however are Celtic.

@TheCommentingAccount well I'm not arguing, I was just saying that it is sad what Tockers84 said, that's all. I have part of the family in Australia, and I know a lot of people there and fortunately they are not like the brilliant guy here. :-)

@OmbraSilente no....they don't think their playing rugby...and STOP ARGUING, it's so frustrating for me because i'm fully Italian and have lived in Australia my whole life..and i hate it when Aussies and Italians argue over a dive....
