Shadow Of Memories - PS2 - PAL - 50Hz - Chapter 2 - Part 2

This classic game was originally released in 2001 for the PS2, Xbox and PC.
It is being remade for the PSP in 2009. .

In the second part of the second chapter of the game, Eike uses his mobile phone to scare away the villagers. Margarete takes him back to her home where she meets her mother and her little brother Hugo.

When Hugo tries to get a closer look at Eike, the Digipad falls out of his pocket and Hugo guesses it is a time machine. Before Eike can reveal it is however, his mother tells him not to be so rude to the guest. Margarete tells Eike she will keep a lookout for Dana and he leaves their home.

He then finds a discarded ladder on the street and takes it. What could it be used for?
