Adorable Baby Groundhog Footage!

Okay...here is the story on this cute little guy. This was taken at my Daughters and Son in Laws farm in Macon, MO. There is a family of groundhogs living under one of their outbuildings. The babies, "there are 7 of them" are still relativly unafraid of humans. The mother groundhog however, knows the danger we people can be and is still teaching the "kids" how to be cautious. When we filmed this, we were only about 3 feet away, and this bold little guy stuck his head out to defiantly bark at us. However...watch until the end of the clip as "Mom" from within the hole, bites his bottom and YANKS him back inside to safety. He even "yelps" a little bit. :)

that's their distress call, we had one because her mother died and she was obviously too little to be wandering along or to try and take care of herself, so we took her home. sometimes whenever little "chipper" got hungry she would whistle loud like that, but in the wild it means they're scared shitless

How are they as pets? I hear they're extremely smart and friendly if you treat them right.
