I agree with you YTerer4174...I have a MXL with a 503 on her, full 3 point controls and the engine is just above my head.

I want one of these just to fly around on. Do you have to have a permit or something to fly these type of aircraft?

@TreyOConner FAA part 103 regulations don't require a license but the changes in FAA regulations have nearly eliminated ALL instruction and forced us to teach our self to fly these ultralight planes.

what were the wind conditions like there? I just bought a qs mx and I haven't really got a chance to fly it yet.

It can get pretty wild but we are in a low wind area. I logged a stretch of over 90 days without missing a day and can fly at least 4 days a week here. Most afternoons in the winter and mornings in the summer are GREAT FLYING!

Later Sprints and Sports put the engine in the wrong place, above the wing.

If you have a stock MX the engine is below the wing just above your head.
