The top 1% of Americans are now taking in 25% of the nation’s income every year. 30 years ago, it was 12%.

All the growth, all of the increases in productivity and efficiency in the last 30 years have gone to those at the very top. Wages for the people actually doing the work have remained flat. You know this, everyone knows this.

So again I ask, who is eating the golden goose?

In a WSJ/NBC poll conducted Feb. 24-28, 2011, Americans were adamantly opposed to cuts in Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security and K-12 education. The most popular ideas (among others) - placing a surtax on federal income taxes for those who make more than $1 million per year (81 percent said that was acceptable), eliminating funding for weapons systems the Defense Department says aren't necessary (76 percent) and eliminating tax credits for the oil and gas industries (74 percent).

Corporations create jobs. Governments create deficits, promising pensions to union workers with taxpayer earned money. That is NOT the American dream, it's a nightmare. We cannot afford to pay union entitlements for corrupt union leaders bribing democrats politicians to legislate more money from hard working Americans to the unions in the form of dues... the problem is after the union leaders and their staff get the theirs, there is no more. We are less competitive because of fraud.

The taxpayer pays the public ynion wages and pensions. The elderly on Social Security are lucky to get $1000.00 a month for retirement while the unions get 60% of their pay as a pension. In order for the people of Wisconsin to keep paying these pensions taxes are going to have to increased. Republicans are looking out for the private sector and the Democrats are for Unions.
