Destructoid's virtual office is a-buzz as Dale North, Conrad Zimmerman and Jordan Devore discuss the announcement that GamePro is ceasing publication. Resident Evil 6 rumors suggest China as a possible setting and we ponder why that might matter. Also, we laugh at our own stupidity in buying virtual goods which serve no practical function.

I think the virtual goods trade goes back to Ultima. I remember that in the 90's and people were buying kingdoms and insane crap like that then. Then Diablo items had the most (briefly) hits of anything selling on Ebay. Crazy money for things that don't exist.
