Selena was dizzy by the end of the song and fell on the guy's arms. Joe noticed her and took a step forward but Nick caught his arm. "What do you think you're doing? Don't forget that we are being watched."
"Uh..helping?" Joe rolled his eyes. "I would help any girl at this situation. She's completely passed out." He walked up to Selena and poked the guy. "Excuse me, but she has to get some rest now."
The guy looked from Joe to Selena. Selena looked up at Joe then to him."I dunno him."
Joe glared at her. "You have to go now." He practically dragged her from the dance floor and brought her to where Kevin and Nick were sitting.
She groaned. "This is sick. Let's do some shots, boys." Nick winced and so did Kevin. Joe was studying her.
"I did my part as a man. Now, I think you should go home." Joe ordered.
She looked up at him. "Dad? As far as I know, he died when I was 8."
The boys looked at each other. "We're sorry about that." Kevin added.
"Don't be. He was a moron." She shrugged.
"Don't you have like someone here for you?" Nick asked.
"Don't worry. My cousin is here. We're just having fun."
"Is he like your best friend?"
"No. My best friend is away right now. I'd be Miss Goody when she comes back."
"Oh. Do you want us to drive you home?"
"No. I'm sure you guys have a curfew. I don't follow rules so I think we should split now."
"Just that?"
"Yep. Just that." She turned to Joe and closed the distance between their lips then whispered in his ear with a raspy voice, "I got U." Then she disappeared in the crowd.
Joe cannot move and he just stood there, unable to think. Kevin spoke first. "Okay? Can someone tell me what just happened?"
Nick cleared his throat. "She just kissed Joe then walked away without a word."
"No." Joe spatted out. "She whispered something."
"What?" Kevin asked.
"I got you." Joe smiled. "She's been playing with me all night and I lost the game."
"I'm totally lost." Nick shrugged.
Joe patted his curls. "Don't worry lil brother. She's been seducing me and I fell for it. It was just a trap. She wanted some fun...and I'll give her that."
"That's enough,Joe. We have to go home now, it's 11 pm." Kevin ordered as he stood up and left the money on the table.
Joe shrugged. "Who said I'll do it tonight?"
Kevin glared and walked away with Nick. Joe then took a last look on the bear hoping to find Selena but did not succeed. He then gave up and followed his brothers in the car. He sat beside Nick on the back and smiling like an idiot while touching his lips.
"Dude, you're weird." Nick informed him.
"Joe, whatever you're planning, don't do it. You have a girlfriend. Just act as if it never happened." Kevin said from the front seat.
"Kevin, I'm old enough to know that. Taylor will be out for two weeks. How can I entertain myself if I don't get my payback on that girl?" Joe whined.
"Don't even think about it. You don't even know her name."
"I don't but I'm sure she'll be there tomorrow night."
"Why so sure?" Nick butted in.
"Didn't you notice what kind of girl she is? She's the type that stays on the bar 24/7."
"And you like her?" Nick asked with a disgusted voice.
"I mean, she's pretty but I don't like her. She looks nice as a toy."
"Joe, you're not just a Jersey boy now. You're in a band with Hollywood Records which is a Disney Company. Disney? You know...kids?" Kevin reminded him.
He scoffed. "I know that. I'll be careful enough not to let people know about this."
"Why can't you just get over it? It was just a kiss."
"It was not just a kiss. I fell for her trap. I was supposed to be the one to win." Joe exclaimed as he reached for his phone in his pocket and answered a call. "Taylor? Hey babe." He then looked at his brothers.
Nick and Kevin exchanged disgusted looks. Joe glared at them and continued talking on the phone. "Nothing. We just had fun at some bar tonight....No. I did not flirt with other girls. I will never do that to you,babe. But look, we're near the house now. Can I call you back later?"
